Restore Failure

Anyone seen an archive restore failure that complains about not being able to chown/not be owner of dtc and ixc files?  Has me stumped as it doesn't seem to be an issue with the archive file but the target database.  Shouldn't it set the ownship upon the restore???

  • I'm guessing it is refering to your lack of rights on your client PC to those files as they exist in the archive.
  • My other guess is that the archive is an older version of DOORS and somehow that is causing a problem.

Check rights to the file and to the DB location you are restoring.  Login as the "Administrator" and try again.

your restore problem could be due to permissions issues in the SERVERDATA directory.
The chown error you're seeing implies that the files in question are not owned by the doors user.

If you are using Linux machine as server, can you try giving root permission to the user ??
